Talking to Alexa with Steven Pears

  • Boole Technology Centre Lincoln Science and Innovation Park Lincoln (map)

Steven has spent years working with .NET in its various forms since the beta arrived on his desk as a set of CDs. A career in media companies and construction software led him to Nottingham, where during the day he spends his day in AWS and .NET Core working for Experian. Outside of work, when not spending time with family, he tries to improve the Alexa ecosystem for other .NET developers through the open source library http://Alexa.NET

In his talk, 'Talking to Alexa', Steven looks into how we build a conversation with the Amazon Echo and Alexa. He'll look at the design, configuration and code that goes into building that natural back and forth, how we can use the abilities of the device to enhance that experience, and take a look at the different APIs we can use to help our users as much as possible.

We hope you can join us for what should be a great event. As always there will be plenty of time for socialising with like-minded people along with drinks and pizza provided by our kind sponsor, the Lincoln Science and Innovation Park.
