Move to Test First and visualise flow of tests while improving quality

  • Mosaic Digital Hub Thomas Parker House Lincoln United Kingdom (map)

Alasdair Macleod is a Certified Scrum Master (PSM I, II, III) as well as a certified Scrum Developer who is a member of both the British Computer Society and Agile Alliance.

As a Business agility specialist Alasdair provides coaching, mentoring & training in agile ways of working that delivers real value to your customers.

Alasdair has provided coaching for business transformation at all levels from teams to C-Suite Executives. His coaching experience has been utilized in the Financial Sector where Alasdair provided Global Agile Coaching for a portfolio of programmes delivering enablers that support the lines of business delivery to customers.

In his talk, Alasdair will be looking at how Software Teams can use their tests they create at the Unit Test (TDD), Behaviour Test (BDD) & Acceptance Test level to monitor the flow of their work across a Sprint or Iteration.

We will see how by thinking of the workflow in this way and by thinking Test First they move the QA conversation from one where its “Please Check My Code” to one of “What tests will my Code have to pass”. Therefore baking quality in at the beginning of design.

This event will take place at Lincoln's new Digital Hub, Mosaic so we hope you can join us to have a look at this great new space. As always there will be plenty of time for socialising with like-minded people along with drinks and pizza provided by our kind sponsors.

Car parking is available on Free School Lane or 2 minutes walk away at Broadgate multi-story car park.
