CoderDojo @ Welton Village Hall and Community Hub

  • Welton Library 3 School Dr Welton, England, LN2 3UJ United Kingdom (map)

The second CoderDojo session of 2020 will take place at Welton Village Hall and Community Hub on 30th January.

CoderDojo is a volunteer-led community providing coding workshops with the aim of getting young people interested in programming through fun activities such as making electronic music, building simple robots, creating computer games, making websites and phone apps, all while encouraging attendees to be creative and to work at their own pace in a safe and supportive environment.

Your young CoderDojo Ninja will ideally bring their own laptop along, but there are a small number of bookable laptops at the library, and local business ScholarPack has kindly sponsored some additional electronics and other parts to help you get started.

The session will be led by lifelong technologist and CoderDojo mentor Paul Swift, who will be on hand to provide assistance for anyone who needs it.

The event is open to young people between the ages of 7 and 17, and their parents or guardians. Anyone aged 12 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the session.

CoderDojo events are always very popular and there are a limited number of places available, so please sign up soon to avoid disappointment. These events will run fortnightly throughout 2020, so don’t worry if you miss this one.
