We are very pleased to announce that the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub is now supporting Digital Lincoln.
The Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub is a free service, part funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy that helps businesses to start, develop and grow.
They provide information and advice on a wide range of topics from grant schemes and support programmes, accessing finance, supply chain development, resource efficiency, business growth and information on employing and training staff.
Developed and managed by Lincolnshire County Council and the Greater Lincolnshire LEP in partnership with local business owners and private sector representatives, the Growth Hub website introduces you to a range of topics that need consideration when starting or growing a business.
This provision of support is just the latest step in Lincolnshire County Council and the Greater Lincolnshire LEP recognising the growing contribution that digital businesses make to the region’s economy. Last year they commissioned the Greater Lincolnshire Digital Landscape research which found that turnover for digital businesses was £779 million or 1.6% of the sales turnover generated by all Greater Lincolnshire Businesses. Although the digital sector is relatively small, jobs and value generated are growing with sales turnover increasing by an average of 26% between 2010 and 2015.
Samantha Harrison, Head of the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub commented, "The Growth Hub is very keen to support the Digital Sector in whatever way it can. We have some amazingly innovative digital businesses in the county who service an impressive list of local, national and international clients. Our research has shown that the sector is showing excellent signs of growth and we want to see this continue."
